Hunters Marsh has been breeding old-fashioned classic Labrador Retrievers for hunting since 1971. We are dedicated to breeding genetic soundness. Our females are titled working dogs from sound healthy lines, that are free of inherited genetic eye and muscle disorders. We do not breed to lines that carry and produce genetic problems. All of our breeding stock is AKC DNA profiled.
In 27 years of conscientious breeding and raising pups, we have developed a line of Labrador Retrievers that are sound healthy dogs--free of inherited eye and muscle problems--labs for hunting, hunt test and field trials, dogs that are eager to please, easy to train, and love to retrieve. Our pups are born and raised in the house, fully socialized complete with individual house time, introduced to house sound, started on retrieving bumpers and birds. They are taken outside each time they are fed and are introduced to water if temperature allows. If you are a hunter and want a hunting or hunt test pup, let me assure you that you will receive a pup that not only loves to retrieve but is eager to please, easy to train, and happy to be an addition to your family. We will furnish references of Hunters Marsh dogs. Our Labrador Retriever pups are sold with a written guarantee for hips, health, and eyes, have first parvo and corona virus and DHP inoculations. Each puppy is given a thorough examination by our veterinarian to be sure they are healthy and ready to go to new homes.
Deposits
When pups are born it will be posted on my
website on this (Select Breedings) page for the litter you have a deposit
on. Please contact me at that time either by phone 270-298-7245 from October
through May or at 989-724-6430 June through end of September or email me at
hmwantalab@aol.com. I will verify that I have a pup for you at that time.
If I do not hear from you within two weeks of litter being born, I will assume
you have changed your mine and no longer want a pup. I will then go to the
waiting list and place the pup. Your deposit will remain and can be used for
another litter. In the event I do not have a pup for you based on color and sex
that your deposit was sent in for, your deposit is
returned to you. HRCH Sempahores Two

Special puppies Reserved
for those who seek the very best. This breeding combines the
best bloodlines out of top producing males and females. I did this breeding
for myself and plan to keep a pup out of it to run in Field Trials, and Hunt
Tests. Maggie has licensed derby points in limited trials. She has UKC points and will
finish her Hunting Retriever Champion title this summer. She
will run the Grand in the fall. She will also be titled as a Master Hunter.
She is an exceptional water dog with an explosive water entry. She is one of
those dogs that people love to watch work. She is a fine marker on both land
and water. She is eager to please
and runs her blinds with style and enthusiasm. Eli has it all - a Derby win, is a Hunting Retriever Champion, and a Master
Hunter. These pups will be good looking eager to please and easy for anyone to
train. They will be the classic
Lab that lies next to your chair but is always ready to go hunting. Eli,
is what I have been breeding for 30 years to produce-- Excellent conformation,
wonderful marking ability, an exceptional water dog and great temperament. He is
from bloodlines that are truly exceptional. He has it all. His sire is
FC-AFC-CFC-CAFC Chenna River Chavez, his grand-sire is all- time great
NFC-FC-NAFC-AFC-CNFC-CFC-CAFC Ebonstar’s Lean Mac. Eli’s dam is our Jasmine
Master Hunter who completed the St. Louis Master National ( one of 54 dogs out of 237
dogs that started the National). Jasmine was the only dog to not handle on any of
the marks. She was perfect. Even the Judges said she was the epitome of what a
great lab should be. Eli's grand-mother is Hunters Marsh Special Tea Master
Hunter, sister to 6 Field Champions. At 11 ½ years of age she was winning 200
dog pheasant competitions.
His grandsire is FC AFC Skywatch Radar.
The breeding that produced Eli was done
twice. The resulting dogs
have done everything the owners asked of them.
Eli won the only derby I ran him in. He completed his Hunting Retriever
Champion title in 8 straight passes and his Master title in 6 straight passes.
Not an easy thing to do. His litter-mates have 16 derby points qual wins, and
has open placement, another won 2 derbys, another got 9 derby points and there
are 7 Hunting Retriever Champions and 4 Master Hunters as well as wonderful
hunting dogs.
