Deposits

When pups are born it will be posted on  my  website on the  Select Breedings page for  the litter you have a deposit on. Please contact me at that time either by phone at 270-298-7245  from October through May or at 989-724-6430 June through the end of September or email  me at hmwantalab@aol.com. I will verify that I have a pup for you at that time.  If I do not hear from you within two weeks of litter being born, I will assume you have changed your mine and no longer want a pup. I will then go to the waiting list and place the pup.  Your deposit will remain and can be used for another litter.  In the event I do not have a pup for you based on color and sex that your deposit was sent in for, your deposit is returned to you..

The Nursery

Pictures of the pups will be posted to the Nursery starting when the pups are three weeks.  I have no control of the exact dates my webmaster posts the pictures.  She does an excellent job of maintaining 14 different sites.  Notes on dates pups should be picked up along with other information on this litter will be posted in the nursery.

Selection of pups is based on dates checks are received.

At six weeks, pups are given a physical by my vet to insure that there are no health problems with the pups.  In the event there is a problem, the order of selection may change starting with the last deposit received.  This is not a problem that occurs often, but I want to insure that any pup you receive from Hunters Marsh Retrievers is physically sound and healthy so that it can be your family companion for many years to come.

Please call or e-mail me if you are picking up your pup.  I schedule people in based on date deposits are received which established the order of selection.  I want to schedule enough time so that you can look at the pups and make your selection and not be rushed by someone waiting to get another pup.  At time of pick up, we accept checks, money orders, or cashier checks for the balance on the pup which is payable when you pick up your pup.  Please make a note of any questions you might have and I will take the time to be sure each one is answered.  We care about each pup and want you to have a pleasant experience with your pups.  we are happy to answer any questions you might have after you have your pup at home.

Payment for pups being shipped should be sent to Hunters Marsh Retrievers no later than when the pup is six weeks old.  Please include an additional $30 to cover the cost of the health certificate that the airline requires for your pup to be shipped.  With your check, include the name of airport that you want your pup shipped to and airlines that service the airport.

Be sure that I have received a list of the qualities you want in a pup--big or small, etc., primary purpose dog will be used for such as a family pet, hunting dog, hunt test or field trial dog.  The information you provide me with will be used to select a pup as close as I can that fits the need you want.

No shipping is allowed on weekends.  Pups are shipped at 8 weeks of age.  I do loan the shipping kennel which you must ship back to me insured for $45.  AKC papers will be mailed when the kennel is received.  

In the event the balance is not paid when the pup is six weeks old, it will be assumed by the Hunters Marsh Retrievers that your plans have changed and you are not taking a pup.  In this case your deposit is not returned.  It can be applied to another litter.

If your pup is being brought to Michigan by someone that is also picking up a puppy, be sure that your check for the balance on the pup is received at Hunters Marsh Retrievers no later than when the pup is six weeks old.  Payment can be a check, money order, or certified check made payable o Hunters marsh Retrievers.  Be sure that I have a good phone number for you, a cell hone is easier for the person brining the pup.  You will be responsible for either picking the pup up from the person delivering the puppy or meeting them at a place they choose.  I always appreciate if when someone is willing to take back an extra pup for me as I know the person receiving the pup does too.

Please have on hand Iams original or large breed puppy food.  It can be purchased from Wal-Mart.  A shot record will be furnished with he pup. Please take it to your vet when having the pup checked.
